Laser root canal sterilisation
For the long-term success of a root canal treatment, the tooth roots must be perfectly cleaned and prepared to prevent infections and inflammations of the root tips. The practice for endodontics therefore uses a special laser to clean the root canals. It's the best way to remove the organic components and bacteria that are present in the root canal. Corresponding studies have shown that the laser is significantly more effective than a conventional rinse solution alone. The laser beams also reach the finest lateral canals and any bacteria hidden in them. Thus, laser treatment in general provides a significantly higher chance of success for a root canal treatment than a conventional treatment method.
